Product Description

This bold and masculine-looking men's kinetic watch is powered by the natural movements of your wrist, so you'll never need to change a battery. It has a six-month power reserve capacitor, so that even if you leave it on the shelf for six months, it will continue to keep accurate time. This watch has a round gray dial with gold-toned numbers at the twelve, six, and nine o'clock positions and bar markers elsewhere. It features three-hand function with Lumibrite hands and markers and a date window at three o'clock. The dial is framed by a two-tone gold- and silver-colored stainless steel bezel and protected by a sapphire crystal. Other features include a cabachon crown with a blue stone cap and a see-through screw-down caseback that allows you to view the kinetic motion. This watch has a tapered two-tone stainless steel link band that fastens with a push-button release clasp. Water-tested to 100 meters, this watch is suitable for both swimming and snorkeling.

This watch actually looks better than what it looks like on the picture. It loses about 2 to 3 seconds every week, but that is good enough for me.

For people who are considerating a "kinetic" watch: One factor that you might want to consider is how long the watch can hold power and keep ticking. This one (SKA218) can holds up to six months. Some other Seiko kinetic watches can hold only a few days or a few weeks (I did a little research and found the data available on Seiko website). If you don't like to "power up" your watch by shaking it every few days, this one is definitely the choice.
