The picture on Amazon's website shows a black face and grey dial. In reality, the face and dial have very little contrast making it extremely difficult to see what time it is regardless of light condition. The crystal reflects so much light that the hands are very difficult to locate. Perhaps if the face was a little larger (40 mm instead of 38) the watch hands might be a little easier to locate.
That's the biggest drawback. I would wear this watch only on occasions where knowing the time is not essential. I wouldn't wear it to work or on travel. I would wear it on an evening out.
The write-up listed on Amazon led me to believe the watch is made in the USA. But I can't tell by any marking on the back of the case. The material is said to hold up well. I can't vouch for that because mine is brand new.
The primary purpose of a watch is to give time. Based on that primary function, I would not recommend this one, unless the wearer is more concerned about styling than functionality

Because of the quality invested in the watch materials and the decent pricing it still rates higher than 2 stars. Perhaps 4 stars if only I could use it to tell time.
