The stainless steel case and band are in black finish and matched with an attractively designed double dial in black with black accents. The fixed bezel is designed like a gear wheel with smooth contours and plated in black IPG to match the black dial. The inner ring on the dial is distinctly marked and is a functional tachymeter. A tachymeter is like a calculator on your wrist. It calculates the number of work that can be done in an hour. A very useful and practical function to calculate elapsed time if involved in action sports or professional activities. I got this watch for Christmas and I can't be more stunned by how awesome it is. I have owned a few Brillier watches in the past and I absolutely love them - this is no exception. All the Brillier watches I have owned have been extremely durable and well worth every penny. This one actually might be my favorite!!! I like the look of black dial watches (especially "blacked out" black watch with black dial), but generally I hate wearing them since it is hard (if not impossible) to see the time at night. Great thing about this watch is that it has luminous hands and markers which makes it very easy to see what time it is, even in the pitch black. The information says it is high-grade genuine black ion plated stainless steel... I do not know exactly the benefits of ion plating is in compared to normal plating - but you can definitely tell by just holding the watch that it won't ever chip, fade, etc.

This watch has many additional bonus features: it has a day and date calendar, which is always useful. It has a chronograph function, which I actually use daily on my morning run. It has a scratch resistant sapphire coated glass, which, in my opinion, is a must have! Also, (anyone who owns a Brillier already knows this) but the box that comes with it is unbelievably awesome - and a great place to keep your watch safe when you are not using it.

To get a great quality Swiss made watch with all these extras priced at under $500 is wonderful and I would recommend this watch to anyone!
