This is an automatic (self winding) watch by Swatch.
I liked it because it has a simple classic face and with date function and has Breguet type hands. From afar it looks like an expensive watch! The real reason I bought this watch was the fact that it is an automatic watch from Swatch which is a lot less common than the quartz type.

It is powered by ETA 2842 movement (not to be confused with 2824-2 which is a more expensive and superior movement). You can see the 21 jewel movement through the transparent case back.

It functions adequately but it is goes fast at about 12-15 seconds per day. I find it less accurate than a Seiko 5 automatic watch at half the price. At this rate, you may need to adjust the time after 2 weeks. Some retailers can adjust or tune the watch to be more accurate but I doubt if they can do that for a Swatch which has a sealed case back.

For the price, it is still a good buy because of its classic design. However, if you were to compare to Seiko 5, Seiko 5 is still a better made watch and likely to be cheaper.

The watch lens/"glass" is acrylic and can be scratched. However, Swatch offers polishing services.
