I've been wearing this watch for the past 3 weeks or so and overall, I'd say I'm very pleased with how it looks. The all-gunmetal coloring keeps this watch from looking too flashy, but due to it's size, it looks like a manly tank of a watch. When I first got it and put it on my wrist, it was so much bigger than my previous watch (Nixon Player) that I was worried it looked gaudy. Now that I've given it some time and have gotten opinions from friends, I think if you have a relatively larger wrist size, it can look pretty darn handsome. So, to sum up the aesthetics, I'd give it a 9 out of 10. It looks well made, feels substantial, and the hidden clasp on the back is pretty slick looking.
The reason I knocked a star off though is due to comfort and convenience. As nice as the hidden clasp looks, the actual clasp underneath doesn't sit perfectly flush with the band, so it does press into the underside of your wrist a bit. I'm hoping I just get used to this, but after wearing it all day, it can get annoying. Also, the massive size of the watch face, while looking awesome, tends to limit your wrist flexibility. If it slides down to the bottom of your wrist, it is so big that it can make it difficult to bend your hand, which can be remedied by sliding the watch further up your arm. One other thing I noticed is that the screw-on cap over the time adjustment knob sometimes catches individual arm hairs and pulls on them.
I also agree with the other reviews that the dark watch face can be pretty hard to read in dimmer light. I'm not talking about a dark room, I'm talking about anything besides direct sunlight. Having gunmetal colored arms, numbers, and background, can make all of it blend together if you don't move the watch into better light. Is it a big deal? No. But if you're trying to quickly tell someone the time, it makes you looks like an 8 year old when it takes you a while to actually read the watch face.
